I’ve always been under the impression that everyone moves forward in life with their best act. An act that somehow leads others to believe we’re in control of the mess in our lives.
Even writing this now though, something tells me that perspective may just be a reflection of myself and what I’ve experienced.
Surely there are those with all their ducks in a row. Surely there are those who are clear of all their clutter. But how can we find the strength to be this way?
” Among other things, we have to figure what clutter is to us while understanding the difference between your clutter and someone else’s.“
1. Define clutter
In order to clean anything at all, you first have to know what’s causing the mess.
Where is it coming from? In understanding this you can better direct your energy from the first mess to the worst, or vice versa depending on how you see fit.
We often lose out in thinking we already know our mess. The truth is, there’s always much more to learn, and how much you learn depends on how open you keep yourself.
Sit and converse with yourself or someone close about why your life feels so messy. Weigh it out so you can come with the right equipment to get it gone!
2. differentiate clutter
After getting a good grip on where & what causes your clutter, examine the difference between what clutter is yours and what isn’t.
Perhaps in your pursuits you’ve picked up baggage that was never yours to begin with. Maybe you’ve also considered something baggage when it never really was anyway.
Some things just are. It’s important to understand this, lest your load be dominated by bad illusions.
3. Deal with clutter
Now that you know your mess better, it’s only right you finally clear it!
One by one.
Nothing lasts forever, and some things only last as long as you ruminate on them. You’ll never know until you get to it though.
Define, differentiate, and deal with your clutter!
There are many mindsets or perspectives one can take in pursuing to clean their life up but this blueprint often helps me to see when I’m missing something.
No mess is cleaned in 5 minutes, but knowing this and moving accordingly makes all the difference. Take your time!
